Well what do ya know?! Guess what my wife emailed to me today?? An awesome Q&A about picky eaters! Whew, thank God, because we need to see that we aren’t the only parents with a picky toddler! here’s the question…

  • Q&A taken from Huggies Happy Baby article.

Q. Let’s talk a bit about the toddler that becomes a picky eater. What do we need to know as a parent of a toddler who seems now to shake his head over a lot of different foods and just won’t eat them?

A. Yes. I think that it’s important that parents don’t force a child to eat. First
of all, it’s not going to work and secondly you are now teaching a child something
that’s completely wrong and that will continue later on. If you want your child to
start eating later on then you don’t force a child and make the mealtime a
battleground. And a war zone that you have to get every bite of the vegetable down
or the sun isn’t going to come up in the morning. It doesn’t work and it’s foolish
to do that. The child’s appetite has to determine what the child eats. And if they
all eat the same food each day, fine. But the parents have to make sure that the
food has nutritional value and it’s not just empty calories that the child is
consuming with just sugar calories.
