Hmm, well i knew that a one year old should be drinking whole milk to get enough fat in their diet for brain and body development. This new post I received, in a BabyCenter.com email, gives some guidelines for the amount of fat in a childs daily diet.
Well my last post, a little over two weeks ago, we were struggling with potty training. What a difference two weeks makes! “Boo” (my son) has been awesome this weekend, Mommy and I are having him sit on the potty every hour or hour and a half whether or not he has to go. Another thing that is helping with his training is the long holiday weekend and the fact that Boo has been out of school for a week (SICK!).
Boo has been so proud to sit on the potty, he even came running one time when we called “Potty Time!” and pulled down his shorts and diaper. Sat right down and left us his first poopy!! We were amazed. I know it’s kinda gross to discuss pee and poo but if you’re a parent it really doesn’t matter, this is parenthood!
I know Boo isn’t close to being fully potty trained but who cares…this is awesome! He’s doing so good and we’re proud parents. We’ve heard stories of toddlers (boys especially) that don’t fully get potty trained until 4 years old. Well in a few months Boo will be three, so I guess we don’t have much to fret.
