Cough Medicine Recall: Cough Medicine Isn’t for Kids
Posted by Jeff on October 12, 2007 149 views Comments (View Comments)Hopefully this isn’t any new news to everyone reading this blog, but the makers of many Children’s Cold Medicine have voluntarily recalled their infant cold meds from store shelves. Most pharma companies did so to avoid any bad publicity in the event that a parent would give an incorrect dosage of medicine to their infant child.
Dimetapp, Pediacare, Robitussin, Triaminic and Tylenol, all common cold medication for children under two-years-old, are included in the voluntary recall.
There are no reports of problems with the drugs. Instead, the concern is children are being given “too much” of the medicine.
