Wow, this time I did it right. I used my Twitter account (@DaddysToolbox) to tweet about the upcoming carnival and this fourth edition received the most submissions thus far! I’m excited to bring you the following posts, please read them and share with others. If you want to have a parenting or Daddy post included in my monthly carnival please read the last part of this post.
Ron Mattock presents Chipmunk Gets A Post posted at Clark Kent’s Lunchbox, saying, “A short post about fathers and sons, catching chipmunks and passing along small lessons to your children that they may remember later.”

Welcome to the June 16, 2008 Father’s Day Edition of The Daddy’s Toolbox Carnival #2.
Father’s Day
McMommy presents You can thank me later. posted at The McMommy Chronicles, saying, “I don’t know why all the dads want a Wii this Father’s Day. Obviously they haven’t seen my post yet about these little catalog goodies….”. McMommy has a Wii and I’ve been asking her all about it and how I can convince my wife to allow me to get one! She lists out some non-traditional Father’s Day gift items. I like the duck shirt!

Kevin Heath presents 25 Top Children’s Charities posted at More4kids. This is a great collection of charities such as March of Dimes, St Jude’s, Toys for Tots, Make-A-Wish and many others.
Alvaro Fernandez presents Cognitive and Emotional Development Through Play posted at SharpBrains, saying, “We sometimes neglect to mention a very basic yet powerful method of cognitive and emotional development, for children and adults alike: Play. Welcome to the May 26, 2008 edition of Daddy’s Toolbox Carnival. This is my first experience at running such a carnival and I’m going through the learning curve right now. As this is just getting started, I will be running this carnival on a monthly schedule and anyone that would like to host a week please let me know. If you would like to participate in next edition of Daddy’s Toolbox Carnival, please submit a post using this handy submission form.
So for my first carnival here are the posts that I found relevant to my “daddy” topic:
Editors Choice: Kevin Heath presents Tips For Helping Our Kids Grow Up Green posted at More4kids. Kevin’s post on green tips for kids is great. My wife and I are always looking for more green tips. He goes into how children learn from adults and that we should be conscious about turning off lights and recycling, among many other ideas!

I’ve been using Twitter (follow me at http://twitter.com/DaddysToolbox) a lot lately and meeting some great fathers and some of them have turned me onto Blog Carnivals. So I would like to set up my own to help generate great content on my blog as well as feature other Daddy blogs and their authors.
Since I am just starting this, my first event will be Monday, May 26th with the deadline for article submissions being Friday, May 23rd at 9PM EST/DST.
